Al-Qaida had planned to attack House of Commons

Date Written    :  Nov 30, 2001
Addendum : Apr 09, 2002:
The Al-Qaida Islamic terrorist, Mohammed Afroz has been released by Mumbai Police on bail. The reason given for his release is that the Police had insufficient evidence. But people suspect that it might be a political decision because one of the national political parties ruling in the Indian state of Maharashtra is in opposition of the new anti-terrorism POTA law which was recently passed by Indian Parliament. In no time this terrorist will reach Dubai, and from there to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Probably then India will add one more to the terrorist  list given to  Pakistan and make it 21. By that time he will become a respected citizen of Pakistan,   like in the case of Dawood Ibrahim, make contacts with old Al-Qaida friends and plan more terrorist attacks.

After US, Al-Qaida had planned the Second Part of the  Terror attack in UK

Mohammed Afroz, alias Afridi alias Pilot, who was arrested from Vashi, near Mumbai,  has confessed that he was learning to fly in order to crash an aircraft into the House of Commons in London, Mumbai police sources said on Nov 29.

The House of Commons is the most important political institution in Britain similar to Parliament in Indian capital  of Delhi. It is where the peoples'  representatives fight on the political battlefield and gives approval to all legislations.  The Palace of Westminster, as it is officially called, is the magnificent 19th century building on the north bank of the River Thames where both Houses of Parliament - House of Commons and House of Lords - hold their sessions.

The Palace of Westminster survived the attempts of Guy Fawkes to blow it up, and even the bombing of the Blitz could not raze it to the ground. However, the Commons Chamber was harmed by World War II. The Chamber of the House of Commons was destroyed by bomb damage and rebuilt after the war. The current Chamber was first used in 1950.

It is this House of Commons from where Tony Blair gave a dashing speech of supporting US-led attacks on Afghanistan to finish Taliban regime and nab Osama bin Laden, dead or alive.

Al-Qaida had planned  to blow-up House of Commons.

House of Commons or Indian Parliament should convene urgent special sessions of the respective parliaments to discuss the issue of blowing-up House of Commons by Islamic terrorists, very seriously.  Will Hansard reports and Indian media  give the news post-facto i.e. after the attacks are carried out like it happened in terror attacks on Sep 11.

Mohammed Afroz alias Pilot,  was assigned the task of terror attack on House of Commons was arrested near Mumbai. But beware, that he had  returned to India from most secured Heathrow airport of London and landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on September 12, a day after the terrorist attacks on the US when the idea was dropped,  since the terrorists did not wanted to take a chance of getting caught.

He had left his home at Trombay 18 months back and gone to Karachi, Pakistan  where he was provided fake travel documents at the behest of some Al-Qaida and Pakistan's Inter-services Intelligence (ISI) operatives. After coming to India,  he was freely  traveling in various parts of country and finally caught in Vashi ( also called New Mumbai ) a month back.

The police has launched an operation in Navi Mumbai since there are reports that several criminals and terrorists are hiding there. Recently various arrests of terrorists from various terrorist groups was done from Thane, the neighbouring district of Mumbai.  Arrested terrorists seem to making Mumbai  the main target and operating internationally by making bases in and around Mumbai.  Lashkar-e-Toiba are looking for establishing bases in Mumbra, which is in Thane,  to carry out terrorist activities in Mumbai.  Mumbai Police have also launched investigations to establish links between the September 11 attacks and the hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC-814 in 1999.

Not only in India, but Afroz had frequently moved from one country to another and changed hotels to avoid suspicion. The Mumbai police recovered international roaming SIM card, an American credit card and a passport with American, British, Australian and Thai visas from him. This again proves that Al-Qaida members were helping this terrorist in each of the country he traveled.

Most disturbing is the fact that Afroz told the police that he was trained as a pilot at the same US flying school which also trained Al-Qaida terrorists involved in crashing aircrafts into the World Trade Centre in New York and the Pentagon in Washington D.C. on September 11. Mohammed Afroz had spent 10 million rupees (212,000 dollars) to take pilot training lessons in Australia, Britain and the United States. Like few other terrorists, Afroz must have been funded by the Al-qaida network with active support of Arab countries.

From this incidence and many more incidences occurring in Indian sub-continent and  at an International level, gives us a clear story of how Islamic terrorists are spreading Jihad at a very rapid pace. World  needs to know that the common threat to human survival is to deal with the International Terrorism, Islamic Terrorism being the worst of all.
