Day One of the Indo-Pak Summit  -- The Green Carpet Welcome at Rajghat - July 14, 2001.

The Indo-Pak summit started in the very historic  city of Agra, where once the Great Hindu King Chhatrapati Shivaji  had been detained in Mirza Raja Jai Singh's house.  At Agra, when King Shivaji presented himself at the Moghul court, Aurangzeb, a barbaric Muslim ruler,  deliberately insulted him by making him stand behind a lesser noble whom King Shivaji had once defeated in a battle. This was a calculated humiliation that Aurangzeb  had arranged for King Shivaji. As a result King Shivaji left the court in a huff. This gave Aurangzeb an excuse to declare King Shivaji of having committed the offence of insulting the Mughal court and he gave orders to detain King Shivaji. King Shivaji seems to have read Aurangzeb's mind of having him put to death. King Shivaji struck upon an idea and said that he wanted to make peace with God by sending fruit and sweetmeats to Brahmins and holy men. Aurangzeb agreed to this. One fine day King Shivaji and his son Sambhaji hid themselves in two of the sizable baskets in which fruits and sweetmeats had been packed everyday and made their escape from Aurnagzeb's custody in Agra.  King Shivaji had carved out a large Hindu State and is still remembered as a Great King.  This happened in the 1600s

King Shivaji esacped from the Barbaric Mughal clutches  of Aurangzeb, but the non-muslims in India and world over are getting clutched by the Aurangzebic and Babri  style "Islamic Terrorism".  Several organizations in India,  like Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Panun Kashmir and Shiv Sena have opposed the Indo-Pak summit,  but it is still going on.  Perhaps both Governments want to show the World that they talked.  But these talks are without any results till now.  Pervez has called Vajpayee in Pakistan and Vajpayee has accepted the invitation.  This means that the talks will go on and on and on AND so also will the "Islamic Terrorism".

After the first round of talks, Pervez had a walk in and around Taj Mahal and was supposed to have a Round two of the summit.  What a waste of Time and Money.  Media says that the summit started with a positive note. What was the positive note?  A competition of Pakistanis saying "Only kashmir" and Indians saying "Not only Kashmir" is still going on.  Both are not touching the core issue of "Islamic Terrorism"

If everything is going fine with the summit, why are the Indian troops on the Borders "on alert"?  In the last 24 hours about 15 people are killed,  9 of them being Islamic Terrorists who were killed near the Line of Control. What sort of peace is possible with Pakistan?  The Islamic Republic of  Pakistan is built on the "piece theory" and not "peace theory". How can peace and terror talk to each other?

Just talking and walking in Agra is not going to solve the core issue  of "Islamic Terrorism".
