HINDUSTHANIS - THE PEACE LOVERS

PEACE WITH ALL……………………..

PEACE TO ALL……………………………………..

According to News till 18:15 Hrs. on 28 Nov, 2000, 11 people were killed out of which 4 were soldiers.

In a fierce encounter between militants and security forces at the border village of Saujiyan in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, five militants, two civilians and an army soldier died on Tuesday morning. Earlier three Indian soldiers were killed when militants blew up an army truck in Indian-held Kashmir on Tuesday, shattering the first day of a truce announced for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Leading Kashmiri militant group the Hizbul Mujahideen claimed responsibility for a landmine attack which killed three Indian soldiers at the start of a ceasefire.

What a TRUE TRUCE ………

Tuesday is the first day of the unilateral cease-fire declared by the Central government in J&K. Prime Minister A B Vajpayee, while declaring the ceasefire, had declared the security forces would not undertake any operation against militants and the army will only retaliate if they are attacked.

The only political party to oppose the TRUCE was the "Shiv Sena" . After softening a little bit last week, Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray again raked up the Ramadan TRUCE saying the Centre should reconsider it.

"The militants have gunned down 21 persons ever since the truce offer was made. Instead of saluting the hard-core ultras, the government should have cared for the feelings of local people and that would have received their blessings," the Sena chief said in the editorial of the party's mouth-piece "Saamana".

"India will be hailed globally for its policy of non-violence, but scores of Hindus will lose their lives in the valley after the ceasefire and generations to come will never pardon us," Thackeray asserted.

"The BJP whose soul is RSS is pro-Hindutva. We have faith in the BJP. Unless we are completely disillusioned we will side by the government's decision," the Sena chief said.

It is in good that the "Shiv Sena" is not becoming TMC. But the Hindus have a limit of TOLERANCE. This Tolerance should not be tested by the so-called "Hindus Nationalist" BJP.
